Investigating UK company ownership usually means jumping between separate Companies House pages for companies, officers, and persons with significant control. Company Network Mapper puts search and the related network in one screen so you can see how people and companies connect without tab-hopping.
The system visualises relationships between entities as a dynamic diagram while also generating AI-powered summaries of each company’s estimated wealth, financial health, assets, and filing history.
It is built for investigation and due diligence workflows where relationships matter as much as a single company record.
What the app does.
Designed as a ‘corporate web explorer’, the project turns raw government data into a clear, searchable network of influence and ownership.
You search by company or person name against Companies House. The app builds an interactive network of related companies, officers, and PSCs. You can drag nodes, zoom the graph, and click any node to open a sidebar with status, address, SIC codes, officers, ownership detail, and a link to the official Companies House page.
An in-app Settings dialog lets admins save a Companies House API key so searches can run against the live API. Edge labels show roles and significant control so the graph is readable at a glance.
Core problem it solves.
Companies House is rich, but the official site is organised around one record at a time. Analysts lose time switching between company, officer, and PSC views and still struggle to visualise the wider network. Company Network Mapper removes that friction by combining search, a relationship graph, and node detail in a single exploration flow.
