The problem with sharing prompts
Sharing a useful prompt sounds simple, but it comes with a hidden dependency. The person receiving it needs their own AI subscription to use it, which most small organisations don't provide across all staff. Even where subscriptions exist, using a prompt well requires the same skills that made it useful in the first place: knowing what to change, what to add, how to iterate when the result isn't quite right. Prompts also go stale. AI models change, context shifts, and a prompt that worked last month may need rethinking now. There's no infrastructure to maintain them, update them, or retire them when they stop working.
